Regulatory Affairs Lead
UC AB
Would you like to work in an organization where the work you do is meaningful and has a direct impact on the lives of millions of people and businesses? Our core business is data and how it can be used to help our customers make intelligent decisions. Together, we are building a culture that colleagues describe as friendly, professional, and caring, where you are encouraged to challenge yourself and grow.
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Regulatory Affairs Lead to lead our regulatory horizon scanning and strategic regulatory engagement across the Nordic markets, with a strong focus on developments at EU level.
What will you do?
This is a senior role at the intersection of regulation, business strategy and product development. You will help the Group understand and anticipate regulatory change, assess how it affects our markets and business, and translate legal and policy developments into practical implications, strategic choices and business opportunities.
You will work closely with legal, business and product stakeholders across the Group and play a key role in ensuring that regulatory developments are addressed proactively and consistently across our Nordic operations.
As Regulatory Affairs Lead you are part of the Nordic Legal team and report to the Group General Counsel.
Your key responsibilities:
Monitor and shape the regulatory agenda by tracking, prioritising and managing key EU and Nordic regulatory developments affecting Enento and its markets.
Assess business impact and opportunities by analysing regulatory changes, risks, competitive implications and potential new products, services and market opportunities.
Own the Group regulatory roadmap and coordinate regulatory priorities, ownership and follow-up across the organisation.
Advise and support business leaders by translating complex regulatory developments into practical recommendations and decision-making materials for management and the Board.
Drive cross-functional alignment by working closely with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, Product and business teams on regulatory matters.
Lead external engagement and advocacy through industry associations, consultations, policymaker engagement and stakeholder relationship management to support Enento’s regulatory objectives.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, we believe you are a senior professional with deep regulatory understanding, strong business judgement and the ability to work effectively across functions and markets.
Your background includes:
Relevant regulatory or policy experience in regulatory affairs, legal, public affairs, policy or a similar field.
Strong EU and Nordic regulatory expertise, including understanding of EU legislative processes and national implementation and supervision.
Experience in regulated, data-driven industries, such as credit information, financial services, fintech, information services, digital platforms or related sectors.
Ability to turn regulatory complexity into business value by providing practical guidance and balancing legal, commercial, product and strategic considerations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders, product teams and commercial functions, and preparing executive-level materials.
Experience in regulatory engagement and advocacy, including industry associations, consultation processes, policymaker engagement or stakeholder management; relevant networks are an advantage.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in law, economics or other related field.
Excellent English and Swedish language skills; Finnish is an advantage.
We place great emphasis on personal characteristics and attitudes in our recruitments. We are looking for someone who is strategic and analytical, with the ability to understand both the details and the bigger business picture. You are a strong communicator who can engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you bring a commercial, pragmatic approach to your work.
You are confident in stakeholder management and external representation, comfortable operating in a complex and evolving environment, and able to drive alignment through influence rather than formal authority. Above all, you are collaborative, credible and trusted, with a proven ability to build strong relationships across functions and with senior decision-makers.
