Two countries, one spring – and a whole lot of HR learning

This spring, we – Linnea from Sweden and Sonja from Finland – joined Enento Group as HR trainees. Despite being separated by the Baltic Sea, we teamed up daily through Teams and proved that great collaboration knows no borders (or time zones).

The photo? Just your average day as a cross-border HR duo – one screen, two countries, and a lot of shared laughs and learning.

Linnea was completing her studies in HR when she got the opportunity to work as a HR-trainee at UC, Enento Group. During her time she also produced a report on Enento’s wellbeing initiatives, analyzing how they contribute to employees’ mental wellbeing and performance, which offered valuable experience in HR development work – and served as a meaningful stepping stone toward the next chapter in her career.

Sonja has worked at Enento for three years and took on her first HR role this spring. With a background in adult education from the University of Helsinki, she gained practical HR experience during her internship. She’ll continue at Asiakastieto over the summer and, of course, write her thesis this fall – naturally on a topic related to HR and Enento.

Throughout the spring, we took part in projects that combined communication, development, and collaboration. Whether it was clarifying internal structures, refining job descriptions, or planning events that celebrated people and values, the most important takeaway was how much you can grow when you're trusted with responsibility.

What stuck with us?

Linnea: "I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how quickly I’ve built strong relationships with both managers and colleagues. The inclusive culture at Enento Group has created a supportive environment where I’ve been trusted to challenge myself, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally within the HR field."

Sonja: “It’s rare and valuable to be in an environment where curiosity, initiative, and learning are truly supported. As a young student, I feel especially grateful for the trust to explore, try different tasks, and grow through such a wide range of experiences."
